About Ulrich Wiehle

Ulrich Wiehle (Uli) is an experienced business leader and strategic advisor who specializes in aligning strategy with measurable outcomes and guiding organisations through strategy execution and complex business transactions. Renowned for his expertise in numbers and growth, Uli has supported countless clients in achieving transformative growth and operational excellence.

With over 15 years of experience in Germany's financial markets, Uli served as a partner and shareholder of Cometis AG. During this time, he prepared more than 50 small and medium-sized enterprises for their IPOs and advised over 200 listed German companies on investor relations strategies, secondary offerings, bond issues, and mergers and acquisitions.

Since relocating to Waiheke Island, New Zealand, nearly a decade ago, Uli has brought his expertise to the start-up ecosystem and joined Advisory.Works in 2018. In 2022, he became a shareholder and director through a management buy-out, working alongside his business partner Logan Wedgwood to lead the company into a new era. Under their leadership, Advisory.Works has navigated the post-COVID era while also developing and launching Beyond, a powerful strategy execution software. Beyond has since become a separate entity, raising capital successfully on two occasions.

• Mentored business owners through the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) Accelerator Program, a member-led organisation he’s been a member of for 10 years.
• Acted as an active business angel, investing in over 10 New Zealand start-ups and achieving successful exits via the Flying Kiwi Angels.
• Successfully built and exited two of his own businesses by the age of 40.
• Helped a New Zealand trades business double its revenue to over $24 million within three years while growing EBIT margins from a loss to over 15%.
